Responsibilities and Requirements
- Setup and Operation: Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications to understand the task requirements.
- Programming: Translate instructions into computer commands for the machines to execute the correct functions.
- Material Handling: Load raw materials and parts onto the machines and prepare test runs to ensure outputs meet specifications.
- Monitoring and Adjustments: Supervise the machines during operation, making necessary adjustments to improve results.
- Quality Control: Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform daily checks and maintenance on machinery to ensure functionality and safety.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience as a CNC operator.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and tooling, as well as precision measurement tools.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
- Computer Skills: Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM software.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Safety Compliance: Adherence to safety guidelines and protocols

Education and Certification
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; postsecondary training in CNC operation or a related field is advantageous.
