CNC Maintenance Technician

Job Description :

We are hiring CNC Machine Maintenance Technicians!




Required Experience:  Minimum 1 year CNC Machine Maintenance experience




Location: Maryland Heights, MO




Pay Rate: $25-35/hr, based on experience




Schedule:


2nd Shift: 2pm to 10:30pm (50 cent shift differential)


3rd Shift: 10pm to 6:30am ($1 shift differential)




Summary: Join our dynamic team as a CNC Machine Maintenance Technician. The role involves troubleshooting, installation, repair, fabrication, and preventative maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment. This position requires being on your feet all day and the ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance. 80% machine repair and maintenance and 20% building repair and maintenance.




Essential Job Functions:



  • Effectively perform preventative maintenance tasks to enhance equipment reliability.

  • Collaborate with production personnel to identify causes of mechanical downtime.

  • Electrical skills required for installing and troubleshooting various systems.

  • Current experience with a welder, MIG and TIG.

  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatic systems.

  • Knowledge of all OSHA Standards.

  • Interprets mechanical blueprints and electrical schematic drawings.

  • Performs metal fabrication tasks as necessary to complete repairs including cutting, welding, and finishing.

  • Displays and understanding of AC and DC motors, VFD and VSD drives, and the ability to safely troubleshoot circuits of varying voltage (110/120, 220, 480).

  • Evaluates equipment condition and reacts appropriately with follow-up activites.

  • Identifies opportunities for improvement in the production process and take action. Document action and results.

  • Trains operators and others in proper operation and maintenance of equipment.

  • Ability to read and understand ladder logic for troubleshooting programmable logic controllers.

  • Familiar with spare parts inventory.

  • Operate mobile equipment including forklift, manlift, scissorlift, and overhead cranes.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to ensure minimum interruption to processes.

  • Multi-task job function that includes assisting mechanics and operators as necessary.

  • Ability to make decisions on equipment repairs and be self motivated.

  • Ability to work well with others is a must.

Qualifications/Requirements:



  • High school diploma required; Trade school or machine vocational training a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete assignments successfully.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

  • Strong team building skills.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations and practices

  • Ability to counsel and motivate.

  • Strong oral and written communication.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Computer Skills:  knowledge of machine control interface (preferably Hydromat), AutoDesk 2D and 3D software, Microsoft Word and Excel, ERP system knowledge.

  • Physical Demands: Regular standing, handling, reaching; must frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities required.
