Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: St. Charles

Pay Rate:  $17-25 (based on experience)

Position Summary:

An exciting entry-level opportunity awaits at our St. Charles facility, where we value attitude and aptitude over experience. We're seeking Machine Operators for our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of duties including equipment inspection, maintaining a clean work environment, following work order instructions, and precise part inspection. Ideal candidates should be adaptable, eager to learn, and demonstrate consistent reliability and accountability. Training will be provided to those who show commitment and potential. This role also opens pathways to more senior positions for candidates demonstrating exceptional skill and experience.

Shifts Available:

1st Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (experienced candidates only)

2nd Shift: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment.


• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.


• Understand and follow instructions on work orders.


• Accurately log activities in and out of the barcode system.


• Operate manual machines as required.


• Inspect each manufactured part using tools like micrometers, calipers, and head gauges.


• Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned, which may vary according to the needs of the operation.

Requirements:

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years.


• Openness to training and working on various machines based on workload requirements.


• Preferred: Ability to interpret blueprints.


• Basic mathematical skills required.


• Prior experience in a shop environment is beneficial, but not mandatory.


• Physical Requirements: Capable of standing, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting or carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs.


• Education:


• A High School diploma or equivalent is essential.


• An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required.
