Quality Engineer

Location : Maryland Heights
Job Type : Contract to Hire
Compensation : open - $22 - $26
Hours : Full Time
Required Years of Experience : 6 months
Required Education : Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two‐year college or technical school; or six months to one‐year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description :

Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties:



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:



  •  Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, tests, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.

  • Applies Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.

  • Reviews all purchased products/components and conducts appropriate part inspections based upon company defined procedures and work instructions.

  • Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.

  • Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.

  • Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.

  • Prepares, manages, and executes company tool purchase benefit program and interaction with multiple departments.

  • Open surface plate set‐ups.

  • Zeiss, Brown & Sharp CMM utilization and program generation for part inspections, process validation, and calibration services.

  • Drawing interpretation.

  • Calibration of measuring and test equipment.

  • Basic repair and/or adjustment and servicing of measuring & test equipment.

  • Receiving inspection activities based on established HSL procedures.

  • Evaluate process feasibility and equipment capability from part print to process verification.


Required Qualifications :
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. 

Must be able to use precision measuring instruments (skills test will be given).
